Senior Project Manager

Own critical cloud, infrastructure and data-centre projects — live services, multi-vendor, recovery and continuity.

Senior project ownership where enterprise infrastructure or continuity is at stake. Hands-on on planning, RAID, vendors and delivery — not a coordinator chasing other people's work. Suited to recovery, regulated environments and data-centre or cloud work that has to stay live. Adoption sits inside the project, not as a separate assignment.

How I approach this role

  • Take ownership of the critical path in the first days — scope, risk, budget and who decides
  • Combine governance with technical standing so sponsors trust the calls
  • Recover troubled delivery with short escalation (as at UWV-VMI)
  • Keep live services up while vendors and stacks move (St Antonius Groenekan; Sanquin Amsterdam DCs)
  • Leave a handover that operations can run

Relevant experience

  • St Antonius Ziekenhuis (2016): data-room move from the hospital's own site to Groenekan under NEN 7510, zero impact on live services; signed client evaluation 9/10
  • Sanquin (2018–2019): network-standard upgrade and dataroom moves to Amsterdam DCs, including full rack recabling
  • Troubled-project recovery (UWV-VMI): PRINCE2 reinstated, strict risk and budget control
  • BT Senior Project Manager (2006–2016): cloud, infrastructure and data-centre delivery, including the €21M Nieuwegein/Rotterdam expansion (new data centre and two new data halls) and CEVA lift-and-shift
  • Continuity-critical moves and live multi-vendor work — still hands-on on planning, RAID, vendors and handover
